Had lunch here yesterday with my son, out first time at Dave’s. I opted for the 2 tender meal “medium” and glad I did as it was plenty hot for me. The idea of a slider seemed “small” to me however my son got one & it looked delicious. Will definitely try one next time. The store was clean, great service & the food was delicious. Loved the dry rub!
The food is good. The hot side of Dave’s hot chicken comes from a dry rub, not a barbecue sauce. Everything is seasoned a little. The fries come with a red seasoning on them. Sandwiches are served with coleslaw and pickles on the side. The only real downside to this location is the noise. The dining area is small with high ceilings. They play music for background noise, then shout out order numbers. This causes partons to hold louder conversations. All of this combined makes talking during peak hours hard and causes the kids to become cranky. If you have hearing issues, like I do, or are elderly, then this may not be a sit-down place for you.
I ordered online, our first time eating this chicken, and I am glad that i erroneously ordered the lite- mild instead of the reaper. And we also ordered medium, hot and extra hot. Medium was as hot as i want to ever get again! I can't imagine how hot the reaper is ... The hot was too hot for me. My husband enjoyed the hot and extra hot, but he too said no reaper for him. We also got the fries, a chocolate milkshake and a Mac n cheese. The milkshake was amazing. Loved that our meal also came with a bread slice and pickles with each piece of chicken. We will return! Thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Staff was really nice, and the restaurant was very clean!
The best chicken I’ve ever had! The seasoning and flavor were absolutely amazing spicy, but so good you just can’t stop eating! The girl at the window was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Great service and delicious food. Thank you!
Always a great place to dine! The Mac and cheese is to die for & it’s such a simple menu. Not too much that you’re overwhelmed by what you’re looking at, but just enough that it’s not like they have nothing to offer. Their vibe is very young people oriented, but I love how they’re inclusive and respectful to all guests of all ages, ethnicities, etc.
Dylan waited on me and he was friendly and helpful. The word you need to remember is HOT. The mild is about a 1 on the spicy scale. The medium is about a 3.5 heat, the hot is about a 5 and the very hot is about a 7.5. I can't imagine how hot Reaper is. I will be ordering the medium version from this point on. It was perfect for me. The Mac and cheese was good and the fries had a good flavor. The chocolate shake was wonderful. I definitely needed it when I tried the very hot! I recommend stopping here and giving it a try.
Honestly delicious chicken. I went safe with the medium heat and it was good but next time I will up it a bit. The sliders are a really good size, and eatting just one was plenty big enough. They came with coleslaw, pickles and sauce. The flavor was super good and made fresh. I ordered online and picked up inside which definitely saved some time. This location does have a drive through as well which is helpful if you can't walk inside. Service was decent overall
